Weekend Drop-off!

We know that sometimes you have to run an errand, attend a luncheon, or attend appointments without your children. This is why we offer our DASH service for children ages two and older.

Simply register your child for a 2-hour minimum to a 4-hour maximum time slot! Our program includes activities such as music, art & craft, story telling, and free play to engage your child.

Language & Literacy

We use our in-house reading program as our core reading scheme. This reading scheme encourages reading readiness. Coupled with reading materials and manipulatives, the program is highly hands-on and efficient.

The child progresses from basic phonetic expressions in Nursery to understanding text & passages in kindergarten. Reading & language are coupled with creativity & writing fluency skills by Kindergarten 2. Children will be ready for primary school by the time of graduation.

×

Mathematics

Children gain their understanding of mathematical concepts and skills through manipulative & pictorial materials. The primary focus is on strong concept foundations as well as on problem solving skills.

×

Science & Cookery

The children will learn science visually, being the first preschool centre to use advance technology in a preschool syllabus. They will also enjoy regular science-based activities through cooking and experiments.

×

Art & Craft

Creativity is the ability to think outside the proverbial box, to string two unrelated ideas together in a new way. Art encourages creativity, originality, and the ability to innovate and to discover.

×

Physical Education

Physical activities are held on a weekly basis where children learn to cooperate in groups and to work in teams. During these activities, they develop both fine and gross motor skills.

Aesthetics

Aesthetic artistic expression is important to bring forth a confident child. Here in Little Gems Schoolhouse, we incorporated Art, Ballet, and Music in our curriculum. Each session is conducted once a week with qualified trainers.

Philosophy

At Little Gems Schoolhouse, we believe in providing the best that we can.

We understand the importance of a child's first few learning years so we strive to create an environment closest to home where a child can feel the warmth, the security, and the confidence to learn and to prepare for their entry to primary school.

With a comprehensive preschool curriculum that focuses on seven learning zones, we aim to nurture positive self-esteem and the love for learning in a holistic approach.

Values

PLAY. LEARN. EXPLORE. We believe that learning should be fun.

No play makes Jack a dully boy. That is why we strongly encourage play in our teaching.

Through play, children can develop social and cognitive skills, and gain the self-confidence required to engage in new experiences and environments.

Learning Zones

A comprehensive & thematic preschool curriculum that covers different learning zones, with enhanced enrichment classes incorporated. These enrichment classes include ballet, art, and reading programs. We not only strive to develop a child's academics but also their self-expression through art and music.

Programs

Play enables children to make sense of their world. Our teachers take more of a co-learner role, they are often seen as a partner to the child. We focus on developing communication, social & emotional thinking, and physical skills that are critical for school and life success. We encourage exploration and discovery as a way of learning, to enable children to develop confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

To provide an innovative learning experience in a classroom environment for children to enjoy and to grow at the same time. We provide a holistic, disciplined, and engaging learning experience in art.

With 4 different reading levels, we groom your child to become a confident reader. We implement promotion by reading readiness rather than age. So, there will be an assessment after every term to determine a child's readiness to the next level. Each level covers a reading and comprehension program.
